 We met at the Museum
Gary & Gwynne Hanna had made special group arrangements

we arrived, most of us in the rain / drizzle

no, Corvettes don't melt!

our visit started off with the movie around CR Smith and American Airlines

 Inside the Museum
just inside the entrance, you find a memorial to the 9/11 tragedies of 4 high jacked planes two of which took numerous American Airline employee's lives
Flight 11
Flight 77

How many of you remember the PINs?

 The Displays
The museum has displays representing special airplanes, engines, scale models of aircraft, cut-aways, reenactments of job functions, etc.

The DC-3 - American Airlines Flagship Airline

CR Smith had Douglas design & build the DC-3 for their needs which began service with American Airlines in 1936

18 more photos of the DC-3 and in the Museum

Everyone gathered for a group photo before we left the museum

 Time to Head to lunch
The rain had stopped and the parking lot and roads were drying out

Grabbing our Cruiser Photo for attending this event - did you remember to grab yours?

we caravanned by heading south on 360 to Division, then west over to the restaurant.  We had a small delay as we headed down Division; we met a funeral precession and pulled over to pay respect.

 Lunch
The group had lunch at the Grease Monkey in Arlington
They had tables reserved for us - they were also having a fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen 3-day breast cancer walk
