By tradition, the club has taken a group photo every five years, since 1989; 2014 being our 40th Anniversary (a major milestone) we are planning another one.
To prepare for this event, we need to find a good location; preferably somewhere that gives us a different group photo than we have previously enjoyed. As you are driving around, keep your eyes out for such a location - we need your assistance!!! If you have any suggestions, questions, etc, please contact Doug & Glenda McMahan 40th Anniversary Group Photo Chairs

| | OUR 40th PHOTO SHOOT
| Date: Sunday, March 23, 2014 (no rain date at this time)
Location: Ft Worth Stockyards, Cooper BBQ's northeast parking lot
Time: 1:00 PM - we will start lining the Vettes up
When You Arrive: Park in the GREEN areas shown on the MAP
Lunch: some will be enjoying lunch at Cooper's BBQ; who allowed us to use this parking lot. We would invite you to come enjoy lunch with them as a thank you for their generosity
Bring: Your Vette, wear your blue polo shirts, FRS Radios, water, etc. Currently Sign-Up . . .
If you have NOT SIGNED UP YET (or if info has changed) please eMail Doug with the following info: Name (Primary & Spouse): Year of Corvette: Color of Corvette: Coupe / Convertible: Type (Race, Anniversary, ZR-1, Z06, Grand Sport, etc.):
| FAQ | How was the date selected: Based off the response from the initial inquiry that Doug sent out. Both venues ended up only being available for Sunday dates. Based on responses, we had 8 more Vettes and 12 more members available on 3/23 than on 3/9; so the date of 3/23 was selected. We do realize that some were not available on this date; the committee did the best they could to accommodate the most members.
How will the '74 and '14 be selected? Our preference is to find Vettes with matching colors. To be fair, if we do not end up with a '74 & '14 in the same color, each owner will be drawing card, high card wins. Currently we only have one 1974 Corvette that we are aware of.
How are the Vettes going to be arranged? final arrangement is still being worked on / undecided at this time - we are looking for something different than the previous shoots. Is it first come first in line in the grouping? NO. They will be arranged by color regardless of the rest of the arrangement ...i.e. not red beside a red, blue by blue, etc. so it is important to provide your Vette(s) information.
We will have all known (signed-up) Vettes pre-positioned before the shoot. We will use the FRS radios to call up Vettes from the staging area. Anyone that just shows up (without providing their info) will be placed in the grouping as the layout permits.
Do we have to have a Blue Anniversary Shirt to participate? No, we would request that you wear a shirt of the same approximate blue color if at all possible.
Do we have to have a Corvette to participate? No, for varying reasons, some have new ones on order, some are torn down for the winter, etc. We would like you in the photo regardless if your Corvette is or not.
if you have other questions, please eMail Doug

| The 40th Committee wanted this milestone's photo to represented Cowtown and Ft Worth, TX. So the Stockyards background was their request. The holograms at the bottom of the photo represent old Ft Worth, historic buildings and some modern buildings in the background.

We also took a special version that had the '74 & '14 with a 40th Anniversary ZR1 front and center plus the 7 generations of Corvettes on the second row | | |
