DECISION TIME - 02/13/14 We need to make a decision on a site - the shoot needs final planning
| Stockyards a | Texas Motor Speedway | | | | | | | Shoot Option looking down the track | Pro | Con | Pro | Con | = In Historical Ft Worth = Closer to town = Less driving distance which will hopefully get older Vettes to participate = easier to tie to 100%er lunch social
| = Not final Photo (Bkgd) background will be imposed = shoot must be on Sunday = Will require rented lift = would require to move the lift to the BB lot to shoot the background early in day for sun direction | = Would be final photo (natural bkgd) = zero cost (possibly even lift) = would require the photo shoot to be in the AM | = We used TMS in 35th = Less arrangement options = Doesn't represent Ft Worth and history = no room for holograms | | | | |

02-08-14 Site Visit / Mock-Up
A trip was taken to revisit the Stockyards to analyze use of other areas | | | | | Our previous trip looked at the Truck Parking Area east of Billy Bob's - it isn't predictable It also has a cost of $250 for Saturday and $200 for Sunday | | | | | | | | We went back across the street to look at the larger parking lots for options
The second lot north is large enough as shown below - it would require a desired background to be dropped into the photo via Adobe Photoshop (like was done w/30th) | | | | | | | | |

02-01-14 Site Visit / Mock-Up
Participants Robert & Cydnie Geyer David & Pat Gill Phil & Ina Kennedy Doug & Glenda McMahan Bob & Cindy Morrison Carol Savage Allen Shanholtz
with a mocked up "hillbilly lift" (Carol's nickname) - gave us a 15' elevation (1/2 what we need)
we used a 77 Vette "traditional grouping Page 2"
The Bowtie layout was discussed - several CONs
| we set the lift where the trees didn't interfere - we could not see the front corner cars | we backed the lift up to the point where the trees interfered - still no front corner Vettes | | | to make this location work, we need a wide-angle lens and a different layout like THIS I'm not sure how much skyline we would get shooting "down" on the grouping with the wide-angle lens - out of my field of expertise | | | | | | | so we scouted the area to look at other alternatives - across the street | | | location 1 - would work ...we think we really need to have the coliseum centered for best look | would work - dependent on no horse trailers in the way - like the camper in this one | | | | | | location 2 - would work | fair backdrop the area is a little more desirable in Location 3 | | | | | | location 3 - would work | then with some Photoshop magic, we put this skyline as the background | | | to come up with something like below (very rough) | | | | | | | | |
