Bob Morrison chaired Pre-StagingPre-Stage sent cars up to wait beside the road, just prior to entering the competition area once space cleared
    
Pre-Staging sent competitors from the NEXTEL Garage up to the staging areaA view from the tower at the staging lane heading up into the competition area
    
 Once inside the competition area, they cars turned right into the staging area 
    
Candy Beck chaired Timing
    
Scott Wheeler chaired "Starter"The return from the "Finish Line" brought you off the track beside the starting line
    
Glenda McMahan chaired the Timing Board function
A special thanks to Marylyn Bakenhus (San Jacinto Corvette Club) who worked both days in the Timing Board area  
    
To mix with the roar of the Vette engines, NASCAR had a school going on
   
Richard Downing chaired the Corner Worker function
A special thanks to Joe Reese (Cen-Tex Corvette Club) who worked both days on the hill - track backside area  
    
The long straight coming into the finish line included a four cone chicane and a 3-pair set of offset gates to slow competitors down as they came into the finish
    
 Members and participants had the option to take photos in the Winner's Circle

 Saturday was complete, Vettes were back in the garage, time to go clean up and eat dinner

We would like to thank Rachel and Alan for all they did again this year to make our guests experience at the Host Hotel a great one. 

They also donated a 2-night stay to the NKF Raffle
 
    

Phil & Barbara Higbee (Hospitality and Dinner Chairpersons) did a great job of planning everything out and lining up Chef Manny Vasquez (404-281-2065 - cell) to handle catering another authentic Mexican Dinner for us tonight
    
Our guests had plenty to clean up, relax and visit before the festivities started
  
Sylvia mentioned the NKF Raffle items - more raffle sales
  
...Grace was offered ...then it was Dinner time
   
SWR Governors were arriving for the SWR Governor's Meeting which started at 8pm at the Host Hotel
