Due to the extra time
spent in the wineries this morning along with the
timeline being adjusted due to the route change, we only
took on one of the "Twisted Sisters" this time, Hwy 336,
next time we will take the other two Sisters (Hwy 335 &
337) |

valleys and up on the ridge lines of the hills with
switchbacks - FUN!!!! |

Clipping along enjoying
the roads, we almost passed
Stonehenge II, just outside of Hunt, Texas; a
copy of the original Stonehenge located more than 3,500
miles away on the Salisbury Plain in England.
Stonehenge II is sixty percent as large as the original;
the Texas Stonehenge was built by Al Sheppard and Doug
Hill, two visionary Texas cowboys with money to spend
and time to spare.
The Original Stonehenge is
shown below - mainly missing stones.

|
We parked at the far end
of the property and walked thru the pasture |

In addition to Stonehenge
replica, he has re-created two replicas of the famous
Moai Statues of the
Easter Island, rising 13' into the skies

Bill must have eaten his

for the chicken fights... and by the way, you are
suppose to "roll in the hay" not "sit on the roll of
hay" |

Tonight, Mike had fixed us
up with their private party room upstairs; for our party
of fifteen cruisers.
We were joined by Tracy
Gaudu who drove over from Austin to have supper and
visit with us. She is a fellow NCCC competitor out
of Longhorn Corvette Club (LCC). |
