We stopped
on the way to Bluebonnet Park for our first look at the
bluebonnets

than bluebonnets were found
After reaching Ennis, we
headed out on the Bluebonnet trail, with the first stop
at Doug Dickinson's Farm - what a treat!!!
Doug told the history of
the bluebonnet, how he and his farm became so abundant
in them and last but very interesting was his
demonstration of the horn inside the bluebonnet petal
and how it shoots the pollen out.
Fred had a great idea to
line our Vettes up for a better picture - Doug offered
to take the photo for us.
If you visit the
Bluebonnet Trial, I'd highly recommend the trip out to
his farm
