DAY 3 - Monday 6/20 This morning around 8:30 we headed out from Santa Fe for our 3rd day of the adventure. 264 miles on the route today. cruising NE to Taos, NMwe stopped in Taos, NM several found items they couldn't resist - some of us explored historic items like the jail to the right a dinosaur - we all need one of these custom hats too ...NO, he didn't buy one! We enjoyed another good mexican food lunch at Bella's Mexican Grill plenty of spots to sit and relax or check your phone cruisin on down the highway keeping the cruiser logo handy to get a quick shot while driving down the road up the road just a few milesOur first real sight seeing encounter today was the Rio Grande Gorge bridge ; these guys were all over the place on the road again heading north A quick pit stop in Chama, NM we headed west, then north towards Pagosa Springs, COIt sure was getting prettier ...other than the storms to our northeast Pagosa Springs, CO Wolf Creek Pass a sight seeing stop heading up Wolf Creek Passa little before we reached the Continental Divide , Treasure Falls The Continental Divide at the Wolf Creek Pass Summit Continental Divide still snow on the Doc & Mary Anne hiked over to play what do you do when your Cruiser Sign is back in the car? ...photo bomb someone else's cruise photo ...we then turned around and headed back down Wolf Creek Pass - remember the song? we stopped at the last overlook before you reached the valley seems the trees can grow in anything up here - even what appears to be solid rock we cruised on down to Pagosa Springs, CO , thru town and out on the west side were our hotel was - the Hillside Inn have you ever seen a cell tower that looked like a pine tree? Tonight's Dinner Reservations After some relax time at the hotel and to freshen up, we headed to dinner - just down the street a ways to Pagosa Brewing & Grill Doug had made reservations for ourAmerica Flag tent one of our member Vettes had some front tire issues so they planned to head to Durango early in the morning so they could get them replaced another fun day and an awesome sky this evening NEXT CURVE
