A cool and breezy day
...however, it was rained out twice at the end of 2015 - so much better today
The Chisholm Trail 100 Club hosted the event in Cleburne, TX.  The event was a local charity that helps to provide for first responders and their families in Johnson, County

there were close to 100 entries in the show, everything from tractors to exotics and everything in between

There was also a lot of fire, emergency and policy vehicles on hand - current & historic.  My interest was in photos of the older and historic ones

They presented awards in every class - seems like close to 20 classes; some even had runner up awards.
For Best of Show, they announced 4 runner ups and...

Doug's Silver Grand Sport, "The Blade" won Best of Show today - it was an honor and totally unexpected

The 2016 Hot Rods and Heroes is a wrap!
Thanks for being a part of our first ever Hot Rods and Heroes Car Show! We had a lot of fun and raised some funds for a great cause too! We had 100 cars attend and raised right around $3,000!

All proceeds of this event benefit the Chisholm Trail 100 Club, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the First Responders of our community. We currently provide over 1200 law enforcement officers, firefighters, correctional officers and emergency medical personnel a $50,000 line of duty life insurance policy, as well as serious injury benefits and scholarship opportunities.
