Cook Children's Hospital always decorates the entrance in a very Christmas Holiday Decor

The party for the children took place behind the receptionist in the activities area - by the huge Christmas Tree

Members had time to socialize before the festivities started

Barb, Carol & Connie getting the refreshment table ready

The stuffed animals were prepared and placed to hand to the kids after they visited Santa

besides the stuffed animal, the kids 3+ received a box with another stuffed animal, crayons, books, etc.

Barb & Cassie got the craft tables ready

Santa showed up and was ready to hear the kiddo's wishes - you'd swear he was the one and only

Santa was great with the children (again) - he has been here well over 20 years; many of you might remember him from Mrs Bairds when they had Santa visit.

it is truly great to see the kids eyes and faces light up, even under less-than optimal circumstances.

For various reasons, we do not post photos of any of the kids - it was nice to see a smaller than normal turnout this year - and not because they were not able to come down :)

Hari Mari was giving flip-flops - they give $3 for every pair purchased to help kids battling cancer

EECU
had their tablet setup for the kiddos to come play games and to win prizes

Before Santa left, a few had a chance to visit and grab a quick photo with Santa, although I didn't get anyone's photo besides Cassie
Some of us look forward to this event each year, to help bring smiles to the faces of the kiddos that are unfortunate enough to have to go thru the issues they are here at this wonderful hospital for, especially this time of year.

It was great to see fewer kids than normal and we hope that it was because fewer were sick and having to be in the hospital

If you haven't had the pleasure of serving at this heart touching event, please consider it next year
