Our route today was originally planned to head out from Asheville to the northeast; however road closures due to rock/mud slides had a long stretch closed. So, we ended up heading east out the Interstate and then headed north to then head west to Nashville
nice TEMPS!!!
we enjoyed a stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway that wasn't closed
then we headed up the Diamondbackanother "fun & scenic road" we had read about

;
another road closure had us gambling that we could take a local back road to avoid hours of alternate routes - it worked
through some small quaint towns enjoying the views for one last time as we headed back to reality
before hitting Nashville, we stopped off I-40 to attempt to see the World's Largest Tree House - closed to the public though :(
NASHVILLE, TN
after checking into the hotel, we took a shuttle to downtown Nashville, to enjoy the nightlife
lots of great entertainers in the local pubs
some of the pubs are fairly well known
some props along the street and in front of the pubs for some fun photos
