The Funkhana
Doug McMahan
was the Chairperson for the Funkhana

this was a non-driving funkhana but officially (per NCCC Rules) a Corvette must be involved in the event, so you started and ended in the Corvette.

You started by buckling up, then when the starter (Scott) gave the word, you had to start the stop watch, then unbuckle the seat belts and head over to station #1

...and SOME PEOPLE think a <13 second sports car (Corvette C5) doesn't have any luggage space - the ENTIRE SET OF FUNKHANA PROPS / ITEMS was brought in this one Vette
Station #1
Driver had to toss balls to the Navigator; they had to catch two of them.

Station #2
Driver had load a wheel on a cart and autocross it thru a 4-cone chicane, past the finish line; the Navigator then took the wheel off and laid them on the "X"

Station #3
Navigator had to screw in four bolts to hold a fuel rail onto an intake (far enough so they didn't come out); the driver could hold the intake and/or hand the Navigator the bolts

Station #4
Driver had to screw in two bolts to hold the throttle body onto the intake

Station #5
Navigator had load the mounted tire onto a 4-wheel cart and autocross it thru a 4-cone chicane, past the finish line; the Driver then took it off the cart off and laid them on the "X"

After completing Station #5, the Driver & Navigator returned to the Corvette, buckled up and then stop the stopwatch

Each team was offered two runs

Lunch Time
we left the Vettes on display while we came in to enjoy lunch before the rallyes

The Rallyes
After lunch, Jack Gandy (Rallye Master) held the driver's meeting for the Gimmick and Chance Rallye.

Jack checking the Gimmick Rallye and Poker Rallye sheets

While the Rallye Sheets were being checked, participants could sit around and visit

After the results were compiled, we presented the FTD / Overall awards

Paul & Mary Wolter on Participants Choice with their 1964 White Coupe Bob Morrison & Jim Forsythe won FTD for the Funkhana Robert & Cydnie Geyer won Overall for the Gimmick Rallye Doug & Glenda McMahan won Best Hand / Overall for the Chance Rallye

Cruiser Program
Did you capture your CCP Point for which counted for a Club Social / NCCC Event?

We think that the CCP photos on the Rallye made us 6 minutes late - inducing a penalty
