Thursday - Sightseeing
Several from the SWR (and others) went down to enjoy the airboat rides in the Everglades. Besides the fun on the airboat, there were several gators and pretty birds to see
       
  We stopped by the Homestead Miami Speedway  
       
we traveled on down to a state park or two before ending up in the Florida Keys for a late lunch; before heading back to Palm Beach
       
Thursday Night Drag Racing
We arrived back at the Palm Beach International Raceway just as Joe started the Driver's Meeting

A fair amount of spectators were starting to head to the stands
       
  Cars were staged and ready  
       
Doc heating up his tires and making passes

The sun was setting and the track was cooling down before the Record Drags started
       
Harry Way was the Male Top Eliminator in ET Drags; Carolyn Samuelson for the Women
  the pre-staging lights were having intermittent issues - they found a spider and a large ant in two of the tubes  
It was getting down to the run-offs for the Record Drags and eliminations; as we looked into the staging area
       
For Women's Eliminations, it came down to Carolyn Samuelson (far) and Bernyce Molenda (near) ...Bernyce (SWR) took the win!!
       
Final Elimination Round for Overall Top Eliminator, Bernyce Molenda (far) taking on Dale Samuelson (near) - don't ya hate those red lights Dale?
