Saturday - Talimena Scenic Byway
so, we headed on up the Talimena, east to west
       
       
 
       
We stopped at the Queen Wilhemina State Park
       
Some of us toured the "Wonder House"
       
       
...then Cynthia spotted a very odd bug, that even the tour guide couldn't identify
    we took back to the road, driving and enjoying until the last overlook.  
       
  ...the views from the overlooks are amazing and sometimes breathtaking   
       
  At the last overlook, we took a Group Photo.  Since some wanted to stop at more overlooks and others were tired - it was an on-your-own from there
       
on the way back down Hwy 259 to the cabins, a few of us came upon a Vette ...it was John & Nancy; we enjoyed letting him be the lead.   
       
    thought maybe we would loose Linda here ...of course she kept asking about Big Foot later that night   
 

 

    
the poll was split on what to do for dinner this evening, some wanted to grill out, some didn't - so it became an on-your-own evening
    the night was crystal clear   
  ...those of us that were grilling out sat around the cabin for awhile...then started getting ready for dinner   
 
  tonight's menu, ribeye steaks and lobster tails with salad and dessert     
       
  ....we then enjoyed a campfire, fellowship with members and oh my, John Armes kept us going for hours on end ...you would have had to be there
