Don't forget those CCP points if you cruise out to an NCCC
Event |
Rig parking is next door to the hangar |
The tech line was long since only one car teched on Friday
night |
...last minute tire pressure adjustments with the Vettes
being readied for competition |
...due to the President being at "The Ranch" this weekend,
the course was a short, inside the fence course |
competitors walking the course before the event started |
a glance over at the President's plane, parked where this
event normally races; when we can go outside the fence |
timing getting ready |
Vettes were lining up in staging |
...last minute checks on the list of competitors while
others relaxed in the hangar |
Tom Moore (LCC) held the driver's meeting;
also explaining we wouldn't start until after the President
left for Midland, TX |
We were told we had to go into lock-down - so we could only
peek thru one small window in the hangar door.
Secret Service and the escort choppers made their way to
where the President's plane was parked |
we could see the police and armed guards on the Control
Tower watching |
then came the Presidential Choppers |
They landed, moving over behind the building where we
couldn't see everyone walking to the plane |
The President's plane finally departed |
...and the escort choppers departed next |
...and then we were allowed back out for the Competition to
begin |
