Sunday Morning, 2/10/08
We left the Hotel at 9am, headed back out to take
another look at the Eagles; the site is 9 miles east of
Llano.
There
were several photographers on-site already there with some very
large lenses
Our group used still and video cameras along with
binoculars
a great time to visit with fellow members while we watched the Eagles and
enjoyed the cool crisp morning
Doug had rented a Nikkor 600mm Vibration Resistant lens
to shoot with this weekend - and thank goodness they can be
rented; way too expensive to purchase
I've never
considered myself a bird watcher but I have to admit
that watching the Eagles has been a lot of fun

Watching the nest
tended to get a little stale from time to time,
especially if the adult Eagle wasn't around.
We did
get to see one of the 5+ week old Eaglets stretching it's wings,
while sitting up on the side of the nest.
