NCCC RAYLE: The "Tricky Dicky" Rallye was hosted by NCCC's president Dick Yanko.  The intent of hte Rallye was to give you a sampling of the Nashville sights and countryside.  The word "fun" was not used when they described this Rallye but the entire Rallye remained in the State of Tennessee.

The Rallye was sponsored by:

We awoke to a breezy and very overcast day, with a high prediction of rain in the forecast.

We passed the Day Pass booth and yep, more folks were buying them

As we walked out to the Driver's Meeting area, we noticed this was a heavy fog day with very thick air, as you can imagine.

Dick Yanko held the Driver's Meeting at 8am, out in  the parking lot.  133 entries were signed up for the Convention Rallye.

Being "novice" rallyers (our 1st Convention Rallye), we noticed some of the more serious participants around us.

Joan & Martin were 'teching" Vettes that hadn't gone thru the Competition tech"

Dick was sending them out now - the rallye has started

John talking on the phone - he was a busy man this week and did an awesome job!!!

The Rallye waiting line was very long and wrapped thru several aisles of the parking log

More rallyers heading out

more Vettes being 'teched'

off goes another

then the light rain started, the paperwork was moved under the security awning

the light rain turned into a real down pour due to the lines and rain, we decided to go grab some breakfast, then headed back to the room for a few minutes

the rain let up a some and we decided to join the Rallye, with a 10:45am departure time. one of the last to leave.

Then we started meeting Vettes; later we found out there were two routes (primarily due to volume of entries) but both had the same questions

Just a few of the sights on the Rallye

a few of the downtown Nashville church steeples

...and downtown Nashville where several answers were found

We completed the Rallye in a little over 3 hours, turning in the paperwork at 2:10pm, at which time you were handed a sheet of questions to fill out - a tie-breaker sheet

This was a challenging Rallye - check out our result on Friday's page
