Saturday September 12th, 2026 - Cruise to Cranfills Gap and the Horny Toad Bar & Cafe

Hey cruisers, Robert here, I mentioned during our August club meeting that I was planning my next cruise. I now have the route and end place for lunch. 

We will be heading back to an old friend many of you know well. We will be traveling to Cranfills Gap and the Horny Toad Bar & Cafe. (319 3rd St, Cranfills Gap, TX 76637, USA)  I have planned for a new different route from my last cruise and I think it should be a fun one. 

The planned cruise date is September 12th. We will meet up in Mansfield in the Kohls (Kohl's, 126 US-287, Mansfield, TX 76063, USA)  parking lot. Be there by 10 am with drivers meeting at 10:15 and departing by 10:30. If you haven't been to Kohls department  store in Mansfield, drive South on US 287 and exit at Broad Street exit. Go through stop light and stay on service road to Kohls department store. I will have a sign up sheet at our September meeting or you can text me at 817 819 6798 to sign up. I do need a head count so they can be prepared for us.

Probably gonna be hot, but the cafe is air conditioned with optional outside seating. 

If your collecting Cruiser points this a great drive for that and a good place for your ' what I saw along the way ' picture. So come along and let's have some fun in your beautiful Vettes. 

Saturday September 19, 2026.

We are planning a family picnic at Randy and Cathy Baker’s home on Eagle Mountain Lake. We will have two boats available to give rides on the lake.  We will have some yard game to play like corn hole and Ping Pong and more. Bring your lawn chairs. I will be ordering the main meat item/dish, I will be asking you to bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share with the group. More details to come as we get closer.

Cowtown Vettes Car Show -  Saturday, November 7, 2026

The excitement is already building for one of our favorite events of the year! We are thrilled to announce that the Cowtown Vettes Car Show will be held on Saturday, November 7, at the incredible Streetside Classics showroom - directions.

This year's show promises to be a fantastic day filled with beautiful Corvettes, amazing specialty vehicles, exciting raffle prizes, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow car enthusiasts. Whether you're entering your Corvette, showing off another special vehicle, or simply coming out to enjoy the day, there will be something for everyone.

Mark your calendar for our Christmas party… December 5, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. I have reserved the Matador rooms at Pappasito’s Cantina in Fort Worth for our Christmas party. Yes, it is at noon, we are going to try a daytime even this year. It is centrally located close to Downtown Fort Worth off I-30 it has a wonderful parking lot for all our cars. Their Mexican food is delicious, and the drinks are cold. Please plan to join us for this event.  

(we will be collecting “Toy’s for Tots” again so be looking for a some unique and fun toys for the kids).
