Valentine's DFW Car and Toy Museum

No time like Valentine’s Day for our first Corvette outing! We will be going to the DFW Car & Toy Museum at 1:00 p.m. for a museum tour, which should take approximately 1 ½ hours to tour.
They will have a special area designated for our Corvettes to park together. So, shine up your baby, and let’s have our own mini car show in their parking lot!
Since this is Valentine's Day, grab your sweetie and plan to meet for lunch at 11 AM, before the tour. Location Mercado Juarez Cafe 1651 E Northside Dr, Ft Worth.

TX Whiskey Ranch. This is the largest whiskey distillery west of the Mississippi located on the
historic former grounds of the Glen Garden Country Club.
I have 17 people that have prepaid for the first tour that starts at noon (12:00) so get there early
(between 11:30 and 11:45) to be able to park and walk up to the entrance/tour area. We will
have special parking for our Corvettes in a designated area.
Tours are available for purchase. On the tour you will see every step in the distillation and aging
process that creates the distinct taste of TX Bourbon. We will hear the story behind how it is
created right here in Fort Worth! The tour includes a tasting of several different varieties of their
signature blends, afterwards you will have the opportunity to try a delicious cocktail from their
mixologist and hang out to visit with our group. The tour takes approximately 50 minutes.
Price for a distillery tour is:
$27.06 each for an Adult,
$24.36 each for Military/First Responder
$24.36 each for Seniors (60+)
*** After our January Meeting we had a great response and have been able to secure the first
Noon time slot of 17 people, we are working on the second time slot 12:30, If you are want to go
please email me with your response and a check to my PO Box which is listed in the members
only of the cowtownvettes.org. Or you can go directly to txwhiskey.com to book your own tour at
a available time slot.
If a tour isn’t your thing, another option is to buy a ticket to enjoy a delicious cocktail from their
mixologist and hang out with our group. The price for the cocktail option is $12.00. (you can buy
the day of the event). Water stations and mocktails are also available.
Note, you can attend this event even if you do not want to purchase any alcohol. The grounds
and distillery are beautiful and are worth a walk around. With spectacular views of Downtown
Fort Worth.
A Food Truck is available on grounds for you to eat or snack to your heart’s desire.

Spring Autocross - April 11 & 12
Join Cowtown Vettes (CTV) for the 6th Annual Larry and Sylvia Hoaldridge Memorial Event, consisting of 14 low-speed autocrosses between Saturday and Sunday.

We will be going to Weatherford, Texas, to tour the Chandor Gardens.
We will have a docent tour at 10:00 am to see and learn about the gardens, and the home of Douglas Chandor. It is a beautiful garden, and at this time of year, several things will be in bloom. Price is $10.00 per person. We will plan to have lunch afterwards in Weatherford, TX.
