COWTOWN VETTES DYNO DAY Date: Saturday March 25, 2006 We are hosting a chassis Dyno Day at A&S Automotive and Motorsports - 2985 Keller Hicks Rd Keller, Texas. The Dyno Day will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Scott will setup a monitor so that you can watch while you wait for your turn. You can bring your chair, refreshments, drinks, snacks, etc. and have a fun day of it. We have had a couple of members can watch as each Vette is Dyno'd. We have had a few members recently use this facility and they highly recommend them. There will be room beside and behind A&S for those of you bringing your Vettes on trailers. There will be a maximum of 20 Vettes allowed for Dyno Day. The cost per Vette for 3 pulls is shaping up to be around $20 per Vette (with 20 Vettes). If you are interested, please - contact Doug McMahan (macsvettes@att.net) to put your name on the list. A chassis dyno has large rollers upon which the drive wheels are placed. The vehicle is run up to a certain speed and put under load so the amount of power that's being delivered to the wheels can be measured (See Horsepower and Torque). A dyno can also be used to simulate actual driving conditions when troubleshooting various derivability problems. Dynos are also used to simulate driving conditions during certain types of emissions tests.
