Arrival at the Red River Army Depot
Gary led us on thru the working part of the base out to our destination of Elliott lake
Gwynne counting and making sure everyone arrived

Elliott lake and the cabins were about six miles further into the base We arrived at the office where we checked in and registered for the cabins

some of the cabins were across a feeder for the lake with a walkway across.
Before heading to the cabin we drove across the dam to look across the lake at the cabin area (right)

Dinner time
Time to head to dinner over in Texarkana

Dinner at Silver Star Smokehouse. BBQ and hamburgers for all to enjoy.

After dinner it was time to gas up the Vettes in Hooks, TX.
Had a visit by one of Hooks finest; he said he had some warm cots for anyone acting the fool

Saturday Morning
Enjoying Gwynne’s homemade breakfast burritos. Very tasty. Lots of fruit, juice and coffee as well to help get everyone fueled up for the day

Saturday was a fun filled day
heading for Texarkana and a visit to the Four States Auto Museum

arrival at the museum and are greeted by members of the ArkLaHomaTex Corvette Club. A great bunch of folks in a club about 3 years old with about 100 members. Very gracious hosts and very interested in forming a connection with another club

They had donuts, cinnamon rolls, coffee and juice waiting for us. Neat little museum with some interesting exhibits.
