Inaugural NCM Motorsports Park Celebration

As Director of Public Relations for NCCC and the promoter for NCCC purchasing one-acre to support the new venue, Doug was offered the opportunity to participate in the celebration.
They left their Vette at the Nashville airport heading to NCCC Convention in Savannah, GA.  They then flew to Savannah on Sunday and flew back to Nashville on Wednesday evening, to pickup their Vette and drive up to Bowling Green, KY for the Thursday event.
NCM's new Motorsports Park, lots of layout options and this is only Phase I

Anyone could attend however only the one-acre members were in the inaugural laps - this is the windshield pass  The T-Shirt for the event

We arrived early Thursday Morning for staging several sponsor signs have already been purchased

The cars were staged 4-wide; we were on row 17

A few of the other NCCC members at the event.  Bob & Marlene Pattillo won charity raffle for the 2nd NCCC Participation Pass

walking around looking at all the Vettes was great ...especially when I spotted this LS3 powered C2 '66 Coupe

The Budweiser Clydesdale team was on hand for the celebration

Then rumbled in the C7R

...complete with a few rash marks from the the most recent race.  It was positioned front & center for the photo - it also led the parade laps

Look familiar - a photographer on a scissor lift

The Group Photos taken by the MSP photographer before our laps

Glenda & I are on the left side of the C7R, center, just to the right of the guy in the red shirt - wearing our blue NCCC Shirts

after the photo shoot, we all headed to our cars

The INAUGURAL LAPS

Old Glory and Cowtown flying as we took to the track

Then we stopped and waited without knowing the reason

They had stopped the laps to have the Grand Opening Celebration, while the people that purchased one-acre memberships SAT ON THE TRACK, missing the entire ceremony - wish they had at least told us up front

After our laps, they pulled us back into the parking area for us to enjoy the rest of the festivities One of the SWR NCCC clubs was hosting part of the event.
