After Lunch
Cruisers had an opportunity after lunch to enjoy the great day ...to wander around the lodge to check it out.  A few even took a tour of the one room that wasn't booked for the weekend.

Raley & Jo Anne; do you realize you have a 2011 Cruiser sign in these photos?  Good thing we were all here so these CCP points can be counted

We wandered back to the Vettes around 1:45, some to head on back home while others of us were ready for more cruising.

Segment Two of the Cruise
We turned south out of RCL, heading to Iredell for a quick Cowtown Cruiser Point stop

There were 26 Vettes and 43 participants cruising on with us on Segment 2

Next we had a good empty stretch of road to let the horses breath a little

before arriving at the Horney Toad

Ya just never know what causes funny stuff - maybe being in front of the Lodge sign?

Phil (guest) offered to take a group photo for us in front of the Horney ToadThe Back Roads Gang - it appears some were hiding ;)

we went in for a pit stop and a beverage; we ended up staying about an hour

Going back thru Walnut Springs, we stopped at Katy Park for cruisers to grab a city, count and 3 war memorials
 heading on down the road
Next stop was Meridian, which is the Bosque County seat and a very unique courthouseSome man remember the 2010 Cruiser shirt which had this courthouse "cartoonized" behind the '62 VetteRod

A local looked out the front door of the restaurant to see all the VettesMark Kirby offered to let them sit in his and take a few pictures

...another quick stop at Walnut Springs to grab a city, county and 3 war memorial points

Heading on down the back roads

It was getting late in the afternoon and the last stop & end of the cruise was the Somerville County Courthouse in Glen Rose

War Memorialssome really neat bronze statues

Additional Photos from Segment Two of the Cruise

The butterflies were plentiful today - just too bad they weren't on the flowers -- sitting on the pavement wasn't healthy for them.

Glenda & I would like to thank everyone that joined us on this cruise.  We
hope that you had a great time with your Corvette, the fellowship with our members and the members from BRCC; wish you could have been here Mike!
                                                                   ...Doug
