The Driver's Meeting took place at the Cracker Barrel on I-20 & Bowen Road in Arlington

departure at 8:30 am

Departure took place at 8:30 from Cracker Barrel in south Arlington after a quick Driver's Meeting.  We departed here with 10 Vettes and 20 participants.

We saw a few Vettes in route as well, this one owned by Doug & Pauline Burnett from White Settlement

Plenty of wildflowers and bluebonnets along the route - guess we kind of did have our bluebonnet run J

fields of yellow flowers      we took the long route thru Paris J

sometimes things happen along the route, luckily this one was fixed with a screwdriver

We picked up Cathy & Kevin along with David & Terri in Greenville, since they live far north and east of Arlington - then we cruised on up the highway

You just never know what you'll see along the cruise up thru casino country in Oklahoma

Lunch at High Street Pizza in Antlers, OK

Lunch was at High Street Pizza in Antlers, OK; they did a great job of taking care of 24 stop-ins along with their normal lunch business - good food and service.

after lunch we stopped at their historic Train Depot for a group photo

The 2010 Hot Springs Cruisers, Other than Jim & Linda Benware who met us in Hot Springs later today.

We headed on towards Talihena, OK, where we were to start our fun cruise down the Talimena Scenic Byway.

We encountered a closed road (yes there was a sign) and a local lady led us down a real back-road (still paved) around the closure where we found ourselves in Talihena.
