Tonight was the Welcome Party
sponsored by
...as you entered the NCCC part of the hotel,
Joan Thomas had done done an excellent job
putting together history of the past 50 years of
NCCC
we even found Glenda McMahan's name
from the 2006 Top Competitor display
...Sam and Cathy were having fun posing
...we were able to get in early to
decorate our Club tables for the contest
Jeannie Ruston of OCCC reserved tables
for the Southwest Region to be together - OCCC was
working on their we we came in
Cowtown Members went to work decorating
our tables - everyone just brought some things that
helped to represent Cowtown
...our two tables came together nicely - great idea
Cindy Morrison, for a western Cowtown
type theme!
These are the Tejas Vettes (TV) and
Oklahoma City Corvette Club's (OCCC)
tables
time for formal introductions and to
kick-off the Convention Festivities
Hal & Walt (Convention Chairs) kicked
things off with a bang or maybe it was a jig
Debbie Lindsey (Director of
Sponsorship) made attendee's days by drawing for door
prizes
Then the Club Table Contest Winners
were announced - they won an award plus each club won a
certificate for a color matched Corvette Bra from
Mid-America
Above, they are explaining that it is to be auctioned
off and the proceeds are to go to the club's charity
choice - with a report back on how much and what charity
it went to

we have on opening night of convention - ya just never
