NCCC National Convention in Colorado Springs, CO

Today, Cowtown had 7 Vettes, 1 Metal Car, 16 Members Participating

Some of our members headed out on Thursday, more on Friday.  The photos below represent some of the things enjoyed on the trip up.
  This is the map which corresponds to the information and photos below.  
       
The further up towards Colorado Springs - the prettier it got
       
  ...all day we met groups of bikers which were on their way back from Sturgis  
       
       
We stopped in Trinidad, CO for a pit stop... and to view a few war memorials.

...afterwards, we found ourselves at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church for a quick tour, dedicated in 1885
   
       
...then we cruised on down the highway to Colorado Springs
       
We arrived in Colorado Springs and the Crown Plaza Hotel was easy to find
The host hotel this year was the Crown Plaza
       
after parking, we walked up to the front door where we saw a Red ZR1 The lines at the hotel registration desk were long
       

Many of the Convention Race Participants were out at Pike's Peak International Raceway for a Track Day

...our hotel room was not cleaned and ready yet (common theme for the day) ...so we went ahead and checked in for Convention
       
  ...we killed a little more time looking thru and buying some Convention Merchandise  
       
  by the time we were done, our room was ready - this was a view out our sliding glass doors
