in a typical year, the Willow City Loop is covered in Bluebonnets and other wildflowers; rumors had it this was a bad year - and they were correct L ...the drive was still pretty and it did start drizzling a little while were were cruisin' thru the loop. 

We entered the loop from the south end, by Eckert (ghost town) traveling counter-clockwise.
       
 
before heading on down to the resort, a few needed a pit stop
       
...we enjoyed the Hill Country as we headed on down to the east of Fredericksburg, dropping into Boerne, TX
       
...finally arriving at

Tapatio Springs Golf Resort and Conference

Center (a 1900-acre resort) where we would stay for the weekend
       
Nathan provided us with reserved parking for our Corvettes.  This was going to be especially nice based on our first discussions since everyone was going to be staying in one building/location - which didn't happen.
       
folks checked into their rooms, freshened up a bit then looked around the resort.
