Time to kick back with a
glass of wine and Country Music at
Lone Oak Winery in Burleson
was our destination to enjoy Live Country Music from 3-6pm,
just one of the Spring Concert Events that Lone
Oak is hosting this year
Roxanne (their Events Coordinator)
had arranged reserved parking for the Vettes along one of
their vineyards
We headed for the winery to pay our cover charge and to
start enjoying the wonderful weather
what better way to start than with a glass of wine
The
Steve Helms Band provided the country music
entertainment for today's event.
Tommy Alverson (left) started off playing with the
Band
several of the group rounded up a table and chairs outside
in the sun by the band, while a few others sat on the patio
The patio / terrace area down by the creek was calling our
name - quiet enough you could visit but you still heard the
music well.
it was time for Roxanne to offer a couple
of door prizes
Jim Benware won a bottle of wine - and
somehow, Glenda ended up trading an empty bottle for the
full one
After a bit, we wandered back up and sat with the rest of
the group
The band played and really interacted great with the crowd
...and Roxanne announced another door
prize, this time, Cathy Castorani won a
Massage
The band gave John Armes a hard time time
and he ended up buying one of their CDs
The Band members are Steve Helms on guitar
and lead vocals, Ronnie Crecelius on Lead
Guitar and vocals, Mike King on drums (not today),
Dave Hutchinson on Bass guitar.
