Saturday, May 7, 2005 Photos and information provided by Linda Walker                                                         They had two '63 split window dragsters go flat out on the runway about 1/2 mile run. The fellow from Lubbock reached 201 mph and ran into trouble when his chute did not deploy and he had to swerve off the runway to avoid bystanders that were sitting on the roadside outside the airport. The $100,000 plus car rolled when it hit the grass and sustained major damage, but the driver walked away unharmed.                                 WINGS ANYONE?   Please email additional photos and information to Doug McMahan
