Cowtown Vettes was chartered
in February of 1974, as the "Corvette Club of Fort Worth."
Members of the club as of April 6, 1974, became charter
members when the club name was changed to Cowtown Vettes. In March 1975,
Cowtown Vettes
became affiliated with the National Council of Corvette Clubs
as a 100% NCCC club. Out of that original member
roster, the club still has two members that have never let
their membership expire, in addition to several members that
were Charter members yet left the Club for a period of time
and have come back into the membership.
Our club has fun of all kinds, from
Planned Trips, Cruises, Charities, Fund-Raisers, Social
Activities, Concours/Car Shows, along with several types of
racing events which include Autocross, Drag Racing, Road
Racing and Funkhanas. In addition our club has a vast
technical knowledge to help members learn and enjoy their
Corvettes while gaining knowledge themselves. We follow our
club and NCCC rules & regulations, along with encouraging
skillful driving practices on and off the public highways,
while enjoying "America's Sports Car", the Corvette.
