The Red Rock "Sail-Kitty" Rallye started at 10am, for folks not in the Car Show - several of those made it out after the show ended, towards the end of the Rallye participants

DCA's Official Competition Results for the Rallye

What is a "Sail Kitty"????

Well, it is a very famous flat cat that Desert Corvette Association holds near and dear to their hearts. Each Sail Kitty is painstakingly handmade by a Member of Desert Corvette Association and Tex's Mom - Jewell "Sail Kitty Maker" Hatchett. Entrants of the Rallye each received a specially made “Sail Kitty” to take home, as they left on the Rallye. These kitties have become quite the collector items from our Millard Fillmore Corvette Classics and this Convention will be sure to have the most collectible yet! They will be dressed in the Las Vegas theme and they are each a unique labor of love.

Since we were in our rented mini-van, the six of us took off to Red Rock to watch and take photos

Vettes could be seen from time to time, heading back towards town

We stopped a few times to get out and look and take photos (Don & Nancy)

A few of us took of on a short hike to see if there was anything besides a red rock to see

Barb caught Doug getting down low to capture some special effects filter/photography of Red Rock

This background shot was just to good to not take couples photos
